Abstract
Circuits library contains switchgear materials which can be used in electrical projects. Functions like add, reorder and delete are described.

The term Circuit refers to a named group of switchgear materials (switches, fuses etc.) used in switchboards in order to protect the cable and/or the devices, control the load etc..

So the Circuits library contains codes that group together materials of the Switchgear materials library. Ready-made groups of materials can be used in your projects as they are or can be edited after they have been added to the project.

A typical feeder

At the right, there is a typical feeder that consists of:

  • a Moulded Case Circuit Breaker
  • a remote controlled switch (contactor)
  • a thermal relay

Building blocks

The circuits are the building blocks with which the switchboards of the electrical installation are "modeled". The term circuit is also used to refer to a switchboard's incomer (i.e. the group of materials located at the switchboards "entry" point).

Browsing the circuits

The circuits are organized in groups. In the tree on the left, expand a group to view its circuits and click on a circuit to see its details, materials and singleline schematic diagram.

Predefined circuits (under the main category TiSoft) are locked and cannot be modified.

Adding new circuits

New circuits can be added under the category My circuits. They can be created either from scratch or by copying and pasting existing circuits. To add a new circuit:

  1. In the tree select the category in which you want to add the new circuit
  2. On the ribbon, in the Circuits group click New circuit
  3. A new node is added to the tree. On the right, type the new circuit's code, name and comments
  4. Proceed to add materials to the circuit

Adding materials to the circuit

The circuit's materials are listed in the table below its properties. The pictures of the materials are displayed on the right. To add a new material:

  1. On the right of the materials table click
  2. Select the material from the list and click OK
  3. The material is added to the list, the material's picture is displayed on the right and the circuit's singleline schematic is updated.

Reordering the materials

To reorder the list of materials:

  1. In the materials table click on a row. The row is selected (marked blue).
  2. Use the Up and Down arrows to move the material up or down
  3. The list of pictures and the singleline schematic are updated to reflect the reordering

Deleting materials

To delete a material from the list:

  1. In the materials table click on a row. The row is selected (marked blue).
  2. Click
  3. The list of pictures and the singleline schematic are updated to reflect the reordering
